I’ve been a republican my entire life. During the last election I disagreed with so many of McCain’s policies, I actually voted for Obama.
It is my feeling that the Republican Party has lost its way lately. Only problem is the Democratic Party isn’t much better. To me, it’s like trying to play an online game with intense packet loss. The president can keep sending information to congress, but unless they are actually capable of seeing it and replying appropriately … we are just going end up being incapable of doing anything.
Obama has the general idea, and based on what I have witnessed in the republican primaries … I have to vote for him again. The State of the Union basically sealed that for me, because I didn’t disagree with a single statement President Obama made.
Only problem is, re-electing him won’t do any good. We need to replace every single no-good, backwards congressman. If they stand in the way of progress then give them no votes. It will take a nation to invoke change, not just one man. Ignore your political background, if your congressman is not doing the right thing vote for another candidate.
If we could get as active as we were about SOPA in replacing congress, our country just might have a chance.
